I've had the chance to read some of my stories at various schools.
I have been allowed to read from some of my picture books during school assemblies. If you want to know what my presentation style is like, or how much children love my stories, please listen to the files below.
The Bogey Monsters
Billy, a small boy who refuses to blow his nose and just chucks his nasal mucus into the corner of his room. However the pile turns into a giant creature and tries to eat him. Billy discovers though that if it sneezes, the beast, which is made of snot, can only sneeze out its own body. Every time it sneezes it splits into two, becoming smaller. Billy makes it sneeze multiple times until he is faced with hundreds of bogey monsters, which he can now stamp on. At the end he learns to use a tissue to prevent ever facing such a monster again.
The Shrewd Elephant Shrew
The Elephant Shrew is named for its long nose, and is a quick little creature that tears across the African savannah in the search for food. This little shrew sets out from his home looking forward to the day. Unfortunately he encounters numerous obstacles that ruin his day. This puts him in a foul mood. Then he encounters various other creatures that hunt him. He heads home and while he remembers the various obstacles and avoids them, his predators fall foul to them and the shrew makes it home.
